Matariki Kite Day on Sunday, 3 July 2016, was one of Tauranga City Council’s events to celebrate Maori New Year. It posed a welcome opportunity for some of the Newcomers Network group to meet at Fergusson Park for lunch, enjoy the warm and sunny winter day, and watch the kites fly.
