 | A formal welcoming ceremony hosted by Ngai Te Rangi to welcome migrants to the Bay of Plenty. This event is being organised by Multicultural Tauranga and supported by Welcoming communities. Migrants who have not visited a Marae will have the opportunity of being formally welcomed to the area by the tangata whenua. This experience has been compared to 'breaking a pot plant and putting the roots of the plant into the ground.' |
