Our vision and mission, our values

Inclusiveness - We welcome people from all religious, ethnic or cultural backgrounds, and promote multiculturalism by protecting the interests of the many different ethnic groups which make New Zealand a multicultural society.
Respect - We acknowledge and appreciate that people from diverse ethnic backgrounds have different perspectives, engage in different cultural practices, and display different behaviours (in accordance with the laws of New Zealand).
Acceptance - We foster both cultural maintenance and integration. In this way we help to build multicultural identity by enabling ethnic groups to openly express their cultural heritage and identity while, at the same time, being committed to New Zealand.
Empowerment - We provide information, education and support to migrants, thus enabling them to use their democratic rights to fair and equal access to services and opportunities. We help migrants to make their voices heard and to participate in decisions which affect them.
