On her concert tour in New Zealand Korean gayageum player Seunghee Baek has slotted in an extra performance in Tauranga. It is facilitated by the Tauranga Korean Community Newspaper.
Seunghee Baek will be playing Korean court music, tradtional folk music and modern composition.
The concert takes place on Friday, 18 December 2015, at 6:00pm, at the Village Hall, Historic Village on 17th Avenue West, Tauranga. Admission is by gold coin donation.
This end-of-year celebration, part of Multicultural Tauranga's Living in Harmony events, has a multicultural musical theme: instruments from around the world.
Musicians from India, Colombia, the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Poland, Russia and Scotland will be playing their instruments and presenting typical tunes from their countries.
Of course Santa will be attending, too, so everybody is welcome to attend with their children.
There will be a raffle, and entry is with a plate of food to share. Donations to Multicultural Tauranga to cover costs are appreciated.
The event is on Friday, 11 December 2015, from 6:00pm at Wesley Church Hall, 100 13th Avenue, Tauranga.
