The Annual Tauranga Multicultural Festival 2023 was a great success. We had more than 30 performers from Philippines to Colombia. The food stalls which represented a host of cuisines did not fail to satiate the 6000 patrons that attended this event. A unique mix of service providers from the NZ Army to the local library provided engaging displays and information at the festival. Bay Financial Mentors and
Tautoko Mai managed to get their messages out to the migrant community. The children's area was a hive of activity. Discovery Tents from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China and the Philippines shared their culture through a display of musical instruments, and vocal displays, architectural landscapes, cultural stories and geographical detail which was educational and engaging .
