The second Annual Migrant Powhiri was held on 12th November 2022. People from various nationalities – Maori. Pacific Islanders, Nepalese, German, American, Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, Indonesian,Filipino, Latin-American, Czech community aged from 12 years to 75 years attended the Powhiri.The audience felt very welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of tangata whenua. Being welcomed through the Powhiri process made them feel like they belong to NZ . There were many different people who attended this year and this is testament to the successof the inaugural event held last year. There has been 50% growth in ethnic representation at the event.
