Multicultural Day was celebrated on 26th August 2022. We invited the community to celebrate the appreciation of diversity by wearing cultural attire, sharing a meal and cultural stories in their workplaces schools and neighbourhood. We also held an Art Competition for schools with the Race Unity theme - 'Nga matimati no te ringa kotahi - The fingers on one hand'.
We were thrilled with the response. The prize-giving ceremony for the Art competition was held on the Multicultural Day 2022.
The Ethnic community leaders were also recognised for their mahi.
In a fitting ending to the evening, we all joined in the 'waiata'.
